McCANN-worldgroup

Known for its cutting edge, highly awarded creative work, McCann has announced key senior creative leadership changes – promotions and inclusion of senior level talent – for its India operation.

Prasoon-Joshi-new Prasoon Joshi

Announcing the changes, Prasoon Joshi, Chairman, CEO and Chief Creative Officer of McCann, said, “As an agency we are committed to our clients' business and do everything possible to bring the best and most cutting-edge talent on board. These are carefully selected professionals in whom I have great faith and high expectations. I am positive that they will further enhance our creative product and add yet another dimension to the McCann offering.”

Pradyumna Chauhan and Prateek Bhardwaj have been made Joint National Creative Directors. They will report to Prasoon Joshi.

Chauhan has been with McCann for a year, and comes with over a decade and a half of experience across brands like MP Tourism, Star Network, Airtel, ICICI Bank, Birla Sun life, Asian Paints to name some. Chauhan's penchant and eye for the craft of filmmaking is a distinctive aspect.

It is Bhardwaj's second stint with McCann. He has extensive experience in the industry across agencies and brands like Sprite, Kinley, Chlormint, MasterCard, HP and Reebok. Bhardwaj co-founded and ran an independent agency, Eleven Brandworks Ltd, and brings along this entrepreneurial mindset together with the exposure to big brands.

With a commendable body of work created individually, the meeting of these two talents will further bolster McCann's creative prowess. “McCann has a stellar creative reputation,” said Chauhan, “and I am excited with the new role. I look forward to taking the agency to greater heights.” Bhardwaj added, “Having worked here earlier and having seen the world, I am certain that I can tangibly add value to our clients with the new responsibility entrusted to us.”

Other senior creative leadership announcements are as follows:

Mumbai:

Akshay Kapnadak and Abhinav Tripathi have been elevated to the role of Creative Heads of McCann's advertising operation in Mumbai. Kapnadak, a Cannes Gold winner not once but twice, and with a One Show Gold Pencil under his belt, is one of the strongest pillars of McCann. His noteworthy work across brands like Coca-Cola, Marico, J&J has added to clients' businesses and the agency's creative reputation.  Tripathi is perhaps among the youngest Creative Directors. Talented and extremely instinctive, his body of work encompasses flagship brands like L'Oreal, Saffola, Mumbai Indians and RBL to name a few apart from forays in short films and music videos.

Denzil Machado will now head McCann's Craft Excellence for Mumbai. A true believer who practises advertising as an art form, his passion, focus and fine sensibility have made the creative product shine. He has won a Grand Prix at Spikes, several recognitions at Cannes, One Show and D&AD. He has worked on a client portfolio that includes L'Oreal, Saffola, Park Avenue and Radio Mirchi.

This trio will be responsible for the Creative department in McCann, Mumbai.

South Region:

McCann's creative head for South, Anil Thomas, has a comprehensive view of the market together with a feel of the consumer's pulse, and this is reflected in brands like TVS and Britannia. He will now have extended responsibilities as his role expands across South Asia where he will provide creative inputs and vision on a need basis.

New Delhi:

Ravinder Siwach and Kapil Batra, Executive Creative Directors, continue to lead their respective responsibilities.

Riding high on the Gunn Report that has ranked McCann as the No 1 agency in India, and its Chief Creative Officer, Prasoon Joshi, being the first Asian to be invited to chair the Titanium jury at Cannes, McCann India is further strengthening its core offering solidly.
