Week 5 of TAM 2014 proved to be an exciting week for Hindi general entertainment channels where all the channels registered growth except marginal decline for Colors and SAB TV.

Star Plus consolidated its leadership with more viewership on the back of Nach Baliye finale that fetched 6.2 million TVM. While Zee TV bounced back to No. 2 position, Life OK continued its strong run and touched another high for second week in a row. Filmfare Awards helped Sony add maximum 44 million in its GVTM.

According to TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 5 of TAM 2014 (January 26 – February 1) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus continued to lead Hindi GECs followed by Zee TV, Colors, Life OK, SAB TV and Sony.

Star Plus strengthened its leadership by adding 21 million GVTM to its gross viewership on the back of Nach Baliye finale (6.2 million TVM). The channel recorded a gross viewership of 627 million and a relative share of 24.63% (last week 606 million TVT with 24.75% relative share).

Zee TV displaced Colors from No. 2 position by adding 27 million GTVM in its gross viewership this week. The channel recorded 468 million TVT with a relative share of 18.38% (last week 441 million with 18.01% relative share).

Colors slipped to No. 3 position. The channel's GTVT was at 447 million with a relative share of 17.56% (last week 449 million TVT with 18.34% relative share).

Life OK again touched new high point for second week in a row. The channel recorded Gross TVT of 387 million against last week's 375 million. The relative share of the channel was 15.20% in Week 5 of TAM 2014 against 15.32% in the previous week.

SAB TV fetched 319 million TVT with 12.53% relative share (last week 323 million TVT and 13.19% relative share).

Filmfare Awards helped Sony grow by 44 million GVTM this week. The channel recorded Gross TVM of 298 million. It had a relative share of 11.70% relative share (last week 254 million TVTs with 10.38% of relative share).
