FremantleMedia yesterday announced the launch of a unique initiative called 'CEOs Got Talent'. The CEOs form the backbone of Corporate India, and they will compete with each other to put their unique talents under the spotlight that usually don't come into play in their boardroom lives. 'CEOs Got Talent' is a first-of-its-kind property within the global 'Got Talent' franchise to recognise the creativity and talent amongst CEOs. The programme featuring 12 CEOs will take place at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, on Friday, March 7, 2014 and will be broadcast on CNBC TV18.

Presented by Blackberry Messenger, the initiative will invite CEOs from India Inc. who will compete on stage. The special event will have Raj Nayak, CEO, Colors, as jury member among notable personalities. The most 'Talented CEO' will be chosen from among the 12 participating CEOs.

Anupama Mandloi, Managing Director, FremantleMedia India, said, “We are excited to launch this unique format, a first-of-its-kind adaptation of our global 'Got Talent' franchise. With CNBC TV18 as our broadcast partner, our endeavour is to reach out to the core business leaders in the country and showcase their talent outside of the corporate board rooms.” She added, “The response has been fantastic and we look forward to some very enthusiastic participation.”

Proceeds from 'CEOs Got Talent' will go to Genesis Foundation that provides financial support for life-saving and life-changing medical intervention for critically ill, underprivileged children in areas of cancer, cardiac disorder, organ failure, thalassemia and extreme deformities.

Prema Sagar, Founder Trustee, Genesis Foundation, said, “CEOs Got Talent is a platform for chief executives to come out of the closet, to do what they love, show their hidden talent – be it music, dance or any other performance, while raising funds to save lives of critically ill children.  We are very excited to partner with Fremantle, CNBC TV 18 and the sponsors that have very generously supported this unique event.”

Krishnadeep Baruah, Senior Marketing Director – BBM (APAC), said, “CEOs have always loved BBM for its immediacy, trustworthiness and control features. With the ability to set up BBM channels, they will now be able to promote their talent, in unique ways. We are excited to be the presenting sponsors for the CEOs Got Talent show. As part of this format, the CEOs will be setting up their own BBM channels and seeking a following of their fans through their channels page. The number of subscribers on their BBM channel will contribute to their overall score. BBM Channels builds on BBM's strength of engagement and communications and gives BBM users a rich community-building tool that will allow them to connect with brands, influencers and people with shared interests.”
