Anupriya Acharya has joined ZenithOptimedia as head of the group's operations in India in the newly created role of Group CEO. She assumes responsibility of all the network's companies in the country.

Reporting to Gerry Boyle, Chairman Asia-Pacific of ZenithOptimedia, Acharya will divide her time between group's offices in Delhi and Mumbai. She will have overall responsibility for the group's four leading businesses in India – ZenithOptimedia, Resultrix (performance marketing), Ninah (analytics) and Newcast (branded content). Between them, the four companies work with many of India's leading brands.

Acharya joins ZenithOptimedia from Mindshare where she was Leader, Team Unilever South Asia, with responsibility for leading the business across India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Prior to working at Mindshare, She was CEO, Aegis Media, Singapore, and before that she was President, The Media Edge, India. She has worked closely with many clients including HUL, Nokia, Colgate Palmolive, Parle Products, Reckitt Benckiser and Nestle. She has also been on the jury for several key media industry awards in India and Singapore.

At ZO, Acharya's brief is to facilitate greater integration between the businesses and to drive growth across the group. She will also take lead responsibility for the on-going development of ZenithOptimedia's Live ROI approach in India. In order to deliver on ZO's ambitious plans for India, Acharya will work closely with the leaders of the group's four companies: Satyajit Sen, CEO, ZenithOptimedia; Gulrez Alam, Founder & Global COO, Resultrix; Nitesh Sahay of Ninah; and Navin Khemka of Newcast.
