CNN-IBN brings Election Tracker

An insight into India before 2014 General Elections conducted by Centre for the Study of Developing Societies

India is at a point of inflection. From sagging economic growth and governance deficit to crippling corruption and worsening law and order situation, the country is going through one of its most testing times, socially, politically as well as economically. With several key states slated to go to polls later this year, followed by the 2014 General Elections, it's time for India to make the right call.

It is in this context that CNN-IBN brings you The Election Tracker, an exclusive and exhaustive series that will capture the pulse of the nation at an unprecedented scale. It will focus on key issues that the common man faces, examine the impact of policy and governance issues, and track the fortunes of key political players.

The findings of this exercise will be aired from Monday to Thursday, July 22 to July 25, 2013 from 8 PM to 10 PM; and on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 8 PM to 11 PM.

Conducted by India's premier socio-political study group, Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, The Election Tracker will capture the responses from over 15,000 respondents across 20 key states and analyse the changing socio-political landscape of the country typified by the rise of regional parties, steep increase in urbanisation, and a uniquely young demographic profile. It will capture local, regional and national inputs, consolidate them to form voting patterns, and ultimately project what India's future would look like.
