The 60th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity announced its final shortlists in Film, Film Craft, Branded Content & Entertainment and Titanium & Integrated categories. In the Film category, Lowe Lintas Mumbai’s film titled ‘Help a child reach 5’ done for Unilever’s Lifebuoy is the only shortlist from India in Corporate Image sub-category. However, the company that entered this work is Lowe + Partners London.
Indian agencies have got 5 shortlists in the Film Craft category with JWT’s ‘Parallel Journeys’ campaign for Nike alone securing 3 nominations in Direction, Best Use of Music and Sound Design sub-categories. Ramesh Deo Productions is the entrant company.
Ogilvy’s ‘Prison Break’ film for Tata Sky produced and entered by Curious Films has been shortlisted in Art Direction/Product Design sub-category. Lowe Lintas Mumbai’s ‘Gondappa’ film for Lifebuoy Handwash produced and entered by Chrome Pictures Mumbai has made it to the Film Craft Lions shortlists in Cinematography.
There is no shortlist from India in Branded Content & Entertainment and Titanium & Integrated categories.
Last year, Indian agencies had got 1 shortlist in Film, 2 in Film Crafts and 1 in Titanium & Integrated and 1 in Branded Content and Entertainment where Taproot’s ‘I am Mumbai’ produced by Ramesh Deo Productions won a Gold Lion in Film Craft; and The Dewarists from Bacardi India won a Bronze Lion in Branded Content & Entertainment.
