publive-imageThe United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government will complete four years of its second term on May 22, 2013. The recent political scenario has been marked by multi-crore corruption scandals, economic challenges and policy paralysis. To mark the fourth anniversary of UPA II, CNN-IBN brings you the most comprehensive analysis of the government's performance through its nationwide opinion poll 'Verdict Manmohan Government' while IBN7presents 'Singh Is King', a special survey and documentary based programming that will give the viewers a glimpse into the past, present and future of UPA.

The objective of this poll is to assess the public opinion on issues such as corruption, governance and inflation, about Dr. Manmohan Singh's performance as the Prime Minister and potential leadership options at the national level.

This survey will be conducted in 12 cities namely Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Bhopal, Patna, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The show led by Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief, IBN Network, and an accomplished panel of experts, will provide an in-depth and credible analysis of the nation's mood with regards to governance and leadership.

“People are angry over the many economic and social problems that they are facing today. This study will be the most exhaustive barometer of what people feel about UPA II at this critical time and more importantly, will provide insights into what the politics of this country may look like going forward,” said Rajdeep Sardesai.

Ashutosh, Managing Editor, IBN7said, “Over the last four years, UPA II's governance has come under severe scrutiny. This show is an attempt to inform our viewers about the current state of affairs as the political ambience is looking all against Congress at this stage.”

The special programming will be telecast on May 21 at 9 PM on CNN-IBN and at 8 PM on IBN 7 with repeat telecast on May 22 at 6:30PM & 9:30PM.
