India_tv_logoIndia TV, rated among the top three Hindi news channels, is all set to transform itself with a new look, packaging and logo as well as refreshing content from Monday. The development was confirmed by informed sources. However, a spokesperson from India TV refrained from commenting on the development.

A glimpse of the new look of the channel was shown during the recent Assembly elections counting day programming with Rajat Sharma taking centre stage in the brand new studio. Sharma himself has now come back to primetime through shows like Aapka Faisla, etc.

According to the sources, the planning for the channel revamp has been going on for a few months and recent recruitments at the top level are part of this exercise. It may be recalled that the channel had roped in Qamar Waheed Naqvi as its Editorial Director in October this year.

India TV has also brought Amitabh on board. He was heading Dilli Aaj Tak since its inception. The channel has also strengthened its editorial team with key appointments in reporting and desk.

In another development, Vinod Kapri has bid adieu to the channel with his last day being yesterday.
