The primetime viewership of Star Plus continued to grow to touch a three-and-a-half-year high. No change in pecking order in Week 48 of TAM 2013

Star Plus' primetime continued to grow touching a three-and-a-half-year high in Week 48 of TAM 2013. The growth was propelled by Mahabharat and Veera that took a leap with high decibel marketing campaigns.

According to TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 48 (November 24 – November 30) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus widened its lead with Colors. Zee TV was the only channel to add viewership this week and strengthened its position at No. 3. Life OK retained its viewership and No. 4 position while SAB and Sony witnessed huge losses because of ongoing distribution problems.

Star Plus widened its lead over competition with 548 million TVT with a relative share of 23.64% (last week 560 million TVT with 23.30% relative share).

Colors held No. 2 position with a Gross TVT of 479 million. It had a relative share of 20.66% (last week 513 million TVT with 21.35% relative share).

Zee TV strengthened its position at No. 3 with a Gross TVT of 449 million and a relative share of 19.37% (last week 433 million with18.02% relative share).

Life OK retained its viewership and No. 4 position with Gross TVT of 334 million against last week's 335 million. The relative share was at 14.41% in Week 48 against 13.94% in the previous week.

SAB TV was at No. 5 with 269 million TVT and 11.6% relative share (last week 308 million TVT and 12.82% relative share).

Sony too suffered loss on the back of ongoing distribution problems. The channel recorded Gross TVT of 239 million. It had a relative share of 10.31% relative share (last week 269 million TVTs with 11.19% of relative share).
