Policybazaar.com's new campaign is a not-so-gentle reminder to everyone about the importance of comparing insurance policies and premium amount before buying a plan. Like its earlier campaign, this one also reiterates the fact that before buying a policy, one should check and compare to get the best deal for one's insurance requirement. However, while its previous campaigns had focused on the auto and healthcare sector, this one looks at life insurance.

The 30-second TVC starts with a young couple having dinner at a restaurant. The lady jokes and says she will kill her husband, to which the man laughs and says that she will indeed become rich then. It is revealed that he has bought a life insurance policy with a cover of Rs 1 crore for a premium of just Rs 20,000 per annum. At this, to the husband's and the entire restaurant's shock, the wife screams with annoyance and tells the husband to compare the premiums on Policybazaar.com the next time he buys insurance as he could have saved a lot of money! The graphics with the voiceover go on to explain how one can compare and select from different policies to save money on the site.

When it comes to life insurance in India, customers typically end up buying what the agent sells but we at Policybazaar.com want to change this. Through this campaign, we want to encourage youngsters to compare policies to understand what product is the best for them before making the purchase decision.”

The campaign has been created in-house and the production house is Luv Films.

“The TVC intends to highlight how men and women today are equally adept at understanding the nuances of insurance, the convenience of comparison online and the ease of purchase. We combined a simple creative concept with a vibe that resonates with the young, savvy Indian in this commercial for Policybazaar.com,” pointed out Ankur Garg, Producer, Luv Films.
