NDTV Good Times is set to change its programming. And the first show to debut under the new schedule will be 'John Abraham: A Simple Life'. The channel announced the four-part mini-series which will go on air on from Monday, November 18 and run till Thursday, in the 10 PM time slot. The show will be replacing 'Band Baaja Bride' for the time it is on air at the 10 PM slot.

Announcing the four-part series, Arati Singh, Channel Head, NDTV Good Times, said, "John and Vishal Mull, the director of the show, came with the idea of the show. We felt it was a good fit, reflects our brand value and works in the lifestyle beat."

The show will basically be a non-scripted look at the actor-producer's life. The audience will get a chance to know their superstar's personal life, behind the makeup and the flash lights. Viewers get to experience candid moments – in between breaks on a shoot, getting ready for a meeting, interacting with fans, promotional tours, workouts and his 'me time' at home with a loved one. Just like any other urban Indian, John Abraham too needs to put in extra hours, brave the traffic and earn the success he enjoys.

Taking about his new show, John Abraham said, “I'm really excited to be part of this initiative on NDTV Good Times. I've personally always backed and encouraged shows with fresh and original content. NDTV Good Times has programmes with out-of-the-box concepts with something different to offer to tele-viewers. The series will take my fans on a journey of what I am like on and off camera.”

Singh added, “NDTV Good Times aims to attract a wider audience and does so by constantly innovating its programming to reach out to GenY. Given our renewed focus on content for the young and young at heart, we are very excited to present 'John Abraham: A Simple Life'. The show gives the viewers a sneak peek into John's life and brings the Bandra boy closer to his fans, for the first time on Indian television.”

"We have rolled out a fairly extensive marketing campaign in Delhi and Mumbai. National print will also be coming into play shortly. We will also be rolling out content and consumer engagement initiatives on our social media platforms." pointed out Kanishk Khanna, Assistant VP, Marketing Services, NDTV Lifestyle.

About the new shows, Khanna said, "We have had our ear to the ground and we have been trying to figure out what our consumers want to see. We realised that it time to innovate. So you will see content that is in-tune with lifestyle consumers spanning genres like adventure, reality, international shows, etc."
