publive-imageIn perhaps a never-experienced-before programming, 92.7 Big FM Chennai is all set to put on air a supernatural thriller radio drama, 'Shivam'. Written by renowned playwright Indra Sounder Rajan of 'Marmadesam' fame, the spine-chilling novel 'Shivam' is now being recreated into a radio thriller. The show starts on November 18, Monday to Friday, at 10 PM.

Written in Rajan's signature style, 'Shivam displays' the playwright's mythological precision. The author, who is known for his short stories, serials, novels based on Hindu mythological lore, supernatural occurrences, divine interventions, reincarnations and ghosts, has applied his expertise to write out this spiritual mystery as a radio drama. The story is based on a software engineer who comes to India to get married; he is an atheist and questions all superstitions but soon finds himself shrouded by the mystery of the old Shiva temple in his fiancé's village.

Ashwin Padmanabhan, Business Head, Big FM, said, “Big FM has always endeavoured to localise content for each of its stations to meet the tastes of consumers locally. Indra Sounder Rajan's works need no introduction or edification among Tamil literature aficionados and our RJs have done a commendable job in doing justice to his novel in a radio thriller format. We are very confident that this show will be loved by listeners and will give great opportunities to advertisers to ride on as well.”

The story has 50-60 characters whose voices will be lent by many while the main characters will be played by RJ Giri, RJ Lavanya, RJ Ranjith and RJ Mrithula. Also, one of Big FM's listeners, Venkat Panchapakesan, plays a key role in the drama.
