publive-imageWeek 34 of TAM 2013 was not a good week for Hindi general entertainment channels with all the GECs except SAB TV losing viewership. As a result, SAB replaced Sony at 4 while Sony Entertainment Television slipped to No. 6 for the first time.

As per TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 34 (August 18 - August 24) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus retained its viewership and No. 1 position with increased relative share despite a slight drop in its Gross TVT. The second most watched channel Colors followed the same trend as Star Plus.

Zee TV continued to be at No. 3 but lost close to 38 million TVTs with a slight drop in its relative share. While the only gainer in Week 34, SAB, came in at No. 4, Life OK held the No. 5 position.

Star Plus retained its leadership position with increased relative share despite a drop in Gross TVT. The channel recorded a Gross TVT of 470 million and relative share of 21.42% (last week 490 million with 20.91% relative share).

Colors was at No. 2 with Gross TVT of 436 million and relative share of 19.85% (last week 456 million with 19.49% relative share).

Zee TV recorded Gross TVT of 378 million and 17.21% of relative share. The channel had 416 million TVT with relative share of 17.74% last week.

SAB TV jumped to No. 4 position with 295 million Gross TVT and 13.45% relative share (last week 293 million TVT and 12.53% relative share).

Life OK recorded Gross TVT of 293.1 million against last week's 303 million. Life OK's relative share was recorded at 13.36% in Week 34 against 12.96% in Week 33.

Sony that dropped at No. 6 position for the first time, recorded a Gross TVT of 292.6 million and 13.33% relative share (last week 349 million TVT with 14.92% of relative share).

Sahara One's viewership was at 31 million TVT with 1.39% relative share (last week 34 million TVT and 1.47% relative share).
