Pepe Jeans appoints Kavindra Mishra as CEO

He is vastly experienced in the retail industry, having worked in Allen Solly, Tommy Hilfiger and Benetton

Pepe Jeans India has appointed Kavindra Mishra as CEO. He brings over 13 years of industry experience to his new role. Mishra will be responsible for growing the existing business portfolio and will be instrumental in designing effective strategies for Pepe Jeans India and embed them tactfully in the broad spectrum of the global strategy.

Mishra said, "I am excited about working alongside brand with the heritage and gravitas of Pepe Jeans.” His appointment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in Pepe Jeans' journey. With his rich experience in strategic planning, and retail industry, he is confident of executing a roadmap to achieve the next phase of growth for this company.

Mishra acquired his Master's degree from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in 1999. He head started his retail career in 1999 as Area Sales Manager at Madura Coats and continued his career at Madura Garments as Brand Manager for Allen Solly. In his five-year stint with Allen Solly, Mishra has executed campaigns like 'Solly at Work' which has taken the brand to great heights. In 2006, he joined Tommy Hilfiger as Vice-President responsible for their entire retail vertical in India. In 2009, he moved to United Colors of Benetton as their Commercial Director. At Benetton, he led the project to convert all their retail stores into the franchisee model in a span of one year.

From Benetton he moved in 2011 to be part of the founding team of Zovi.com, India's first online apparel and lifestyle portal. As President and Co-Founder of Zovi.com, he was responsible for production, sourcing and sales.

Mishra has now moved to Pepe Jeans India after the tragic death of its Managing Director Chetan Shah in November 2012.
