After receiving a joint brief from IBF, AAAI and ISA, TAM releases weekly data for Week 27, 28 and 29

publive-imageThe impasse over television ratings has passed and TAM Media Research has released the weekly data for Week 27, 28 and 29 of TAM 2013.

According to viewership data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 27 (June 30 - July 6), Week 28 (July 7 - July 13) and Week 29 (July 14 - July 20) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus has held the top position over these three weeks. Colors not only made a comeback but strengthened its No. 2 position by crossing the 200-mark. Zee TV continues to hold No. 3 position but the channel is within kissing distance of Sony at No. 4. Zee TV witnessed a drop of 39 points over the three weeks compared with Week 26.

SAB TV took an impressive jump and the channel is sitting at No. 4 position in Week 29. Life OK remained at No. 6 over the three-week period.

Star Plus remained at the top in all the three weeks. The channel recorded 224 GRPs in Week 27, 239 in Week 28 and 243 in Week 29 (232 in Week 26).

Colors, which was at No. 3 in Week 26, jumped to No. 2 position in Week 27 and touched the 200-mark. Then it dropped to 186 GRPs in Week 28 but witnessed a surge in ratings by 21 points in Week 29 recording 207 GRPs (184 in Week 26).

Loss of 36 points in Week 27 pushed Zee TV to No. 3 with the channel recording 161 GRPs. It lost a further 5 points in Week 28 recording 156 GRPs, but gained 2 points in Week 29. Zee TV recorded 158 GRPs in Week 29 (197 in Week 26).

Sony Entertainment Television remained at No. 4 across these three weeks but has been breathing down the neck of Zee TV, separated by only one point in Week 29. Sony had 156 GRPs in Week 27, 153 GRPs in Week 28 and 157 GRPs in Week 29 (149 in Week 26).

SAB took a lead over Life OK in Week 27 with 147 GRPs to take No. 5 position. The channel recorded 153 GRPs in Week 28 sitting at No. 4 with Sony. In Week 29, SAB slipped at No. 5 position again with 152 GRPs (139 in Week 26).

Life OK slipped to No. 6 position by losing 20 points in Week 27. The channel recorded 122 GRPs in Week 27-28 and 121 GRPs in Week 29 (142 in Week 26).
