GEC Watch: Life OK overtakes SAB at No. 5, inches closer to Sony

Life OK is the only channel to grow as Star Plus, Zee TV and Colors keep their positions. Premiere of Barfi on Zee TV rates 2.1 TVR

Week 26 of TAM 2013 witnessed changes in the lower order where Life OK overtook SAB TV to become the No. 5 channel. Besides being the only Hindi GEC to grow this week, Life OK has also come closer to Sony.

According to viewership data sourced from TAM subscribers for the period June 23 - June 29 for the CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus continued to lead the pack but lost 11 points. At No. 2, Zee TV also lost 12 points despite the world television premiere of blockbuster movie 'Barfi' that rated 2.1 TVR. Colors remained at No. 3 followed by Sony at No.4, Life OK at No. 5 and SAB at No. 6.

Star Plus continued to be at the top but lost 11 points again in Week 26. It fetched 232 GRPs this week (last week 243).

Zee TV too lost 12 points and fetched 197 GRPs this week (last week 209).

At No. 3, Colors recorded 184 GRPs (last week 188).

Sony Entertainment Television held No. 4 position with 149 GRPs (last week 149).

Life OK jumped to No. 5 position by replacing SAB TV. The channel recorded 142 GRPs this week (last week 136).

SAB TV slipped to No. 6 and recorded 139 GRPs (last week 138).
