publive-imageBreak bad this July with the premiere of the critically acclaimed show Breaking Bad. Watch Bryan Cranston aka Walter White, a passionless chemistry teacher who turns to a life of crime in order to secure his family's financial future. The show premieres on Star World on July 18, and will air Monday to Friday at 11 PM.

From veteran producers Vince Gilligan and Mark Johnson comes this drama about an unremarkable and uncharismatic chemistry teacher, Walter, who discovers new passion in his life after he learns he has terminal cancer. Once a successful chemist, Walter now teaches apathetic high school students and works part-time at a car wash to help support his family – wife Skyler, who earns a modest income buying and selling items on eBay, and son Walter Jr., a strong-willed 17-year-old suffering from cerebral palsy. Realising he has nothing but his family left to live for, Walter's new sense of purpose strengthens him into a man of action as he turns to an exciting life of crime to provide for the ones he loves.

The series has won numerous awards and nominations, including seven Primetime Emmy Awards and three Outstanding Drama Series nominations. For his portrayal of Walter White, Bryan Cranston won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series three consecutive years in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Aaron Paul won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2010 and 2012. Paul also won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor on Television in 2010 and 2012. Overall, the show has won 35 industry awards and been nominated for 117.
