Hathway appoints Jagadesh Babu Botta as EVP - Operations

He joins Hathway from Ignitee Digital where he was Chief Financial Officer

Hathway Cable & Datacom has appointed Jagadesh Babu Botta as Executive Vice-President, Operations. He comes to Hathway with extensive experience of 20 years in India and abroad across media & entertainment entities like Star TV, Channel , Radio City, Tata Sky DTH, News Outdoor, OOH Media (3i Private Equity) and Ignitee Digital (Astro Group). He brings to Hathway his experience and knowledge of systems and processes across all forms of traditional and new media.

Botta began his career with ITC Limited in 1992. He then moved to Star TV in 1995. Before joining Hathway, Botta was Chief Financial Officer of Ignitee Digital.

Commenting on the appointment, Jagdish Kumar, MD & CEO, Hathway, said, “Babu will be part of the Senior Management team of Hathway and will focus on receivables management across CATV and Broadband businesses, design, develop and implement systems and processes across all our business operations with the objective of optimising our infra-structural and support services. In addition he will also oversee the Human Resources and Administration functions across all our locations in the country.”

Hathway has successfully completed rollout of cable TV digitisation in Phase I and is now implementing rollout of Phase II of digitisation.
