Dainik Bhaskar Group organised its third 'Power Vision Conclave' on March 28, 2013 in New Delhi. Minister of Power Jyotiraditya Sindhia and Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan were the chief guests. The event is a unique initiative bringing together major stakeholders in the energy sector to discuss the current energy environment and create a platform for constructive debate amongst industry experts and policymakers to find ways and means to accelerate growth in this crucial sector.

The third edition of Power Vision focused on identifying the way ahead to overcome the challenges in the sector through efficient harnessing of renewable and non-renewable resources.

Speaking about the conclave, Jaideep Dhagat, Senior General Manager and National Head, Government Business, Dainik Bhaskar Group, said, “Keeping the rich tradition of Dainik Bhakar's tagline 'Zidd Karo Duniya Badlo', the event was organised against all odds on March 28, 2013, the very next day after festival of Holi and a day prior to Good Friday and a long weekend ahead due to closure of financial year. We are delighted that close to 350 delegates attended the event.”

In the opening session 'Future of Power', Sindhia along with MP and CMD of Jindal Steel and Power Naveen Jindal spoke about the new age of power covering all issues.

The opening session was followed by the focus state presentation by Madhya Pradesh, this year's focus state. The Principal Secretary for Energy, Madhya Pradesh, Mohammed Suleman, spoke how the state has grown from a power deficit state to an almost power surplus state in the last eight years. This was followed by an address by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan who not only shared his vision for the power sector but also the vision for the state.

The last two sessions where technical sessions on 'Overcoming the mounting scarcity of resources' and 'System strengthening, legal and regulatory challenges and improving the financial side'. It was attended by specialists of the power industry. “The third Power Vision Conclave concluded with technical sessions which we will definitely consider as a big step ahead compared with the last two conclaves,” commented Dhagat.
