GEC Watch: Diya Aur Baati and IBD maintain status quo in top shows rankings

Quite a few changes in pecking order among weekday shows; Colors' Uttaran has entered the top 10 list of weekday shows replacing Sasural Simar Ka

publive-imageWeek 10 has witnessed some drop in ratings of both weekday and weekend toppers – Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum and Zee TV's India's Best Dramebaaz (IBD). According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 10 (March 3-9) of TAM 2013, Colors' Uttran has entered the top 10 list of weekday shows at the cost of the channel's other fiction show, Sasural Simar Ka. Star Plus continued to lead the charts with four shows among the top 10 weekday shows followed by Colors with three, Zee TV with two and SAB with one show.

Among weekend shows, India's Best Dramebaaz on Zee TV continues to be on top despite a significant drop in its ratings in the third week since launch. Nach Baliye 5 on Star Plus remained at second position among weekend shows.

Weekday toppers

Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus continued to rule the weekday programming chart with an average TVR of 5.7 (last week 5.9).

Colors' Balika Vadhu climbed one position to No. 2 this week. The show averaged at 4.3 TVR this week (last week 4.2).

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus slipped one position to No. 3 with an average rating of 4.1 TVR (last week 4.4).

Colors's other fiction Madhubala rose two positions to No. 4 with an average TVR of 3.9 (last week 3.7).

SAB's Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma slipped one position to No. 5 with 3.7 TVR against last week's 3.9 TVR.

Star Plus' Pyaar Ka Dard Hai climbed one position to No. 6 with average TVR of 3.6 this week (last week 3.5).

Star Plus' Saathiya also climbed a rung to No. 7 this week with an average of 3.5 TVR (last week 3.3).

Zee TV's Qubool Hai climbed two positions to No. 8 this week. The show recorded an average TVR of 3.4 (last week 3.8).

Colors' Uttaran made it to the toppers' club at No. 9 position, garnering an average TVR of 3.2 this week (last week 2.8).

Zee TV's Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke slipped five positions to No. 10 this week with 3.1 TVR (last week 3.8).

Weekend toppers

India's Best Dramebaaz on Zee TV continued to rule weekend programming. The show garnered an average TVR of 3.5 (last week 4.4).

Star Plus' Nach Baliye 5 fetched an average of 2.9 TVR (last week 2.9).

Sony's CID recorded an average TVR of 2.5 (last week 2.5).

Sony's other crime show, Crime Patrol, fetched 2.5 TVR this week (last week 2.4).

Comedy Circus ke Ajoobe on Sony averaged 2.2 TVR (last week 2.1).

Fear Files on Zee TV garnered an average rating of 2.1 TVR this week (last week 2.3).

Sony's Adalat fetched 1.8 TVR this week (last week 1.3).

Star Plus' crime fiction, Arjun, also saw a decline recording 1.2 TVR (last week 1.4).

Colors' comedy show, Nautanki, averaged at 1.3 TVR (last week 1.3).
