DDB MudraMax has been appointed as the sole media planning and buying partner for Jyothy Laboratories (JLL). Currently, DDB MudraMax is the planning partner and BPN, of IPG Media Brands Network, is responsible for the media buying and implementation across all JLL brands. This consolidation will be effective from March 2013 and industry sources peg the JLL portfolio of business in the vicinity of Rs 100 crore.

Speaking on the decision to consolidate its business with DDB MudraMax, JLL CEO Raghunandan said, “Our belief is that consolidation with one agency partner will enable us to maximise efficiencies and effectiveness of our marketing investments. Basis our experience with DDB MudraMax and their potential to offer end to end solutions, we have decided to put all our eggs in one basket. We are confident that they will do their job well.”

Ms Jyothy, Director, JLL, added, "DDB MudraMax team demonstrates passion and high energy levels and we wish to see it further enhanced.”

JLL's current brand portfolio includes Ujala Supreme, Ujala Washing Powder, Stiff & Shine, Ujala Techno Bright Detergent powder, Maxo Mosquito Coils, Liquid and Exo Utensil cleaners

In 2009, JLL entered fabric care services through its venture, Jyothy Fabricare Services Ltd, to provide “world class laundry at affordable prices at your doorstep”.

In 2010, JLL acquired Henkel brands which are now operating under Jyothy Consumer Products, a subsidiary of JLL.  It has brands such as Pril, Henko, Fa, Margo, Mr White, and Chek.
