Guided by the philosophy of 'Cherish what you have', Life OK will present a new reality show, 'Welcome', where audiences will witness some crazy moments on television as five celebrities try to outdo each other in the competition of 'mehmaan nawaazi'. Hosted by Ram Kapoor, the show will go on-air from January 21, 2013, Monday to Saturday, at 10 PM.

Each week five celebrities will get together at the house of one member of the group. The task of that member will be not just be cooking a complete three-course meal but also keeping the guests entertained and engaged. After dinner, the guests will judge the particular host on categories of food, entertainment value and hosting skills. At the end of all sessions, the host with the maximum marks will be declared the winner.

Ajit Thakur, General Manager, Life OK, said, “Life OK has always endeavoured to go beyond the usual. Our reality shows are always served with a twist! With 'Welcome – Baazi Mehmaan Nawaazi Ki', we take audiences into the most private space of celebrities – their home. We are bringing together over 40 favourite faces that represent the diverse cultural aspects and nuances of a typical Indian family.”

The show would be promoted through innovative advertisements on television, print, radio, and extensively online through games and contests. Some members of the show include Sanaya Irani, Ragini Khanna, Manoj Tiwari, Nigaar Khan, VJ Andy, Karnvir Bohra, Debina Banerjee, Sara Khan and Vindoo Dara Singh amongst others.

Speaking about 'Welcome' having to compete with 'Kya Hua Tera Wada' and 'CID' on Sony Entertainment Television and 'Pyaar Ka Dard Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara' and 'Nach Baliye' on Star Plus in the 10 PM slot on weekdays and weekends, respectively, Thakur commented, “The shows which are aired in the weekday slots on Sony and Star Plus are daily soaps whereas 'Welcome' has something different to offer. It is also a family show. If viewers wish to watch something unique, this is the show. Yes, on weekends the competition changes but I feel that if the show will engage people on weekdays, I am sure the weekend slot would also pull of well.”

Life OK claims that Welcome's comparison with Masterchef, which will launch on Star Plus, is a case of apples versus oranges as Welcome is not a cooking show, it's about mehmaan-nawaazi which includes hosting and entertaining along with cooking. It promises to be an all-out entertainer.

Show host Ram Kapoor, who is quite kicked to be a part of the show, said, “I am extremely excited to host Welcome. It is a never seen before kind of a reality show. I hope the audiences enjoy this experience we are presenting to them.”
