publive-imageColors has decided to extend its three Monday to Friday weekday shows telecast from 7.30 PM to 9 PM to Saturdays to fill the slot vacated by Sur Kshetra. The channel is all set to offer its viewers an extra dose of fiction by airing the popular shows Sasural Simar Ka, Balika Vadhu and Madhubala six days a week. The arrangement will continue, it is learnt, until the channel lines up another weekend programming in the Saturday slot.

It may be recalled that recently Star Plus had extended its popular weekday shows being aired in the 9 PM to 10 PM slot to Saturdays until the launch of Nach Baliye 5.

Prashant Bhatt, Weekday Programming Head, Colors, said, “Our move to expand our 7.30-8.30 slot to weekends is a humble New Year gift to our loyal viewers. We invest a lot of time in creating sticky concepts for our viewers and it's heartening to see they are loving it and wanting more. In the new year, you'll see more drama, emotion and romance on Colors with more interesting twists and turns that will keep audiences glued to their TV sets”.
