publive-imageIt's time for Mumbai to welcome its beloved deity – Lord Ganesha. The city is abuzz with preparations, from last minute touches at pandals to decorations at home; every Mumbaiite is gearing up to celebrate the arrival of the Elephant God.

Mumbai's own radio station,93.5 Red FM , will join the revelry with activities lined up for two weeks. The first activity is a fun contest called 'Magic Modak'. The radio station will distribute Lord Ganesha's favourite sweet, the Modak, among its listeners. Each modak, based on the Fortune Cookie concept, will have a chit hidden inside it. Red FM will send these Magic Modaks to a few listeners every day selected on the basis of requests taken on-air and SMS too. While relishing the sweet, the receiver will either read a positive fortune or win a MTS M-Blaze Dongle. The devotees can share their excitement on-air on the late afternoon show, making the festival truly sweet for Red FM listeners.

This is just the beginning. The second activity epitomizes the Super Hit spirit of the radio station. Red FM introduces its Visarjan Mandal - a team consisting of Red FM jocks, band, dancers and security who will join in the Visarjan (immersion) processions. The Visarjan Mandal is sponsored by Dominos Pizza.

Red FM will run a contest called 'Visarjan Squad ko Ghar Bulao' on the Morning show where listeners can register to invite the Red FM team into their homes. The lucky winners will grab a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bid adieu to Lord Ganesha along with the Visarjan Squad. Listeners can also enter the contest by registering at their nearest Dominos outlet.

One lucky winner will be picked for each immersion day namely the 1 ½ , 3rd , 5th, 7th and 10th. The squad will be sent to the winners' homes to amplify their Ganpati farewell with full naach-gaana. A jock will also go live from the venue during the evening show. Additionally, the families will be invited to a pizza party post the immersions.

Commenting on the campaigns, Nisha Narayanan, Senior VP – Programming & Projects, 93.5 Red FM said, “Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival of significant importance for our listeners in Mumbai and we wanted to make it really memorable for them. With these innovative campaigns, we aim to take brand Red FM to the every nook & corner of the city & create interesting on-air content.”
