It’s the season to indulge in music, rhythm and beats as Radio Mirchi, India’s no. 1 radio station and Kingfisher Strong Power Soda (in association with Xenoh Deodorant & Intex Technologies) flag off Mirchimix – DJs, Disco and Bappi Da campaign where aspiring and versatile DJs across India are invited to send their entries and showcase their skills. The much awaited Radio Mirchi DJ Hunt is back in its 2nd season with a groovy, new theme of Disco and with the Disco king Bappi Lahiri as the judge.
The call for entries will be announced via print and radio campaigns, curtain raiser club activations and branding activity across hundred clubs in the ten cities. A digitally activated initiative, the contenders can download popular Bappi da songs from www.mirchimix.in, remix a select song and upload their entries on the website. The opportunity gives the ambitious DJs of India a chance to mould the famous Bappi Da creations in their own way and share them with the judges.
The call for entries is on till 25th September which will be followed by initial short listing where 3 contestants will be chosen for each city finale by Bappi Lahiri and DJ Akhil Talreja. The city finales will be held in the following cities – Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Lukcnow, Kolkata; where one winner will be chosen from the respective cities. The 10 finalists will compete and show off their skills at the Grand Finale, to be held in Kolkata. The Grand Finale winner will get a cash prize and a chance to perform live with Bappi Lahiri!
