CNN-IBN brings back its documentary show '30 Minutes'

The new season kicks off on August 25 at 8.30 pm

publive-imageCNN-IBN's long-running, flagship documentary show '30 Minutes' is back. Since its inception in February 2007, the show has contributed heavily to CNN-IBN's trophy cabinet, winning many awards in the last five years. '30 Minutes' brings the viewers greater insights into the news of the day with in-depth, from-the-ground, and painstakingly documented reports. It also covers stories from those parts of the country that don't always take centre stage in daily news.

The show covers varied issues and its carefully chosen subjects may be extremely gritty and investigative, such as 'Fake Encounters in Manipur', 'Illegal Mining in Karnataka, Orissa & Goa'. But 'softer' yet relevant subjects like 'Reality TV' or a profile of legendary cartoonist like RK Laxman also find space on '30 Minutes.'

The new season kicks off on August 25 at 8.30 pm.

Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief, CNN-IBN, IBN7 & IBN-Lokmat, said, "30 Minutes is a show which turns the spotlight on the burning issues that affect the nation. It is also our endeavour to bring the stories upfront that may get missed in the haze of daily news coverage.”
