Keeping this idea in mind, Radio Mirchi is celebrating music from all over on 'Sunset Samosa' with the World Music Festival from June 19 - 28. RJ Suren and RJ Meera have lined up various artists on their show, 'Sunset Samosa', with a simple aim to celebrate world music and its influence on Bollywood songs. Be it Sufi, Jazz, Rock, Rap, Punjabi or Classic, talented and versatile musicians from each genres will come and present a musical treat to the listeners.

The festival has already hit the air waves. RJ Suren and RJ Meera discussed the impact of Indian regional music on Bollywood songs. The duo covered in-depth folk songs spanning Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Rajasthani, Assamese, and Bhojpuri. On June 19, Mumbaikars got to enjoy instrumental music by Niladri Kumar and Ashwin Srinivas while on June 20, maestros AR Rehman and Nandini Srikar played some of their finest works to confirm the connection between Classical and Bollywood Music.

The list of music is get even better with Anu Malik and Salim Sulaiman along with Usha Uttup and Aditi Singh Sharma exhibiting the roots of Arabic, Spanish and Russian music in Bollywood songs on June 21. A galaxy of music artists including Ram Sampath, Bappi Lahiri, Ash King, Clinton, Domnique, and Neeraj Shridhar will be portraying how increasingly many filmy songs of today are inclined toward genres like Rap, Disco, Rock, Jazz and other types of Western Music.

The following week, the listeners are in for a bigger treat with Sufi songs on June 25 by Saim Bhatt, Kavita Seth, Sharib/ Toshi Sabri, Tochi Raina, Shiraz Uppal, Shafquat Amanat Ali, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. On June 26, Radio Mirchi will make you tap your feet and compel you to get up and dance as RJ Suren and RJ Meera play some interesting Indo-pop music.

The World Music Festival culminates on June 28 in the ultimate delight to music-lovers as Indian Ocean and Shefali Alvares perform live at Hard Rock Cafe. Indian Ocean has been ruling over millions of hearts with their unique style of music and incredible compositions such as Maa Rewa, Bandeh, Jhini Re and Kandisa. Mirchi brings its listeners this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to catch the magic live by simply tuning in to Mirchi and winning passes on air to the concert.
