The average TVR for the first 46 games this year has risen to 3.8 against 3.7 for the same number of matches in the previous season

Finally, IPL 5 has made it after 46 games in overtaking the ratings of IPL 4 for the same number of matches. After 46 matches, IPL 5 has recorded an average rating of 3.8 TVR (15+, CS, ABC), which is 3.1 per cent higher than last year's 3.7 TVR.
Excluding ad breaks and 'Extraa Innings', the average rating after 46 matches has reached 4.67 TVR against 4.63 TVR last year.
The cumulative reach after 46 games for IPL 5 has also risen to 151.6 million among CS 4+, ABC TG across all-India. The cumulative reach is much higher than the levels reached in IPL 1, IPL 2 and IPL 3 but less than IPL 4. IPL 1 had recorded 99 million viewers for 47 games while IPL 2 had a cumulative reach of 118.7 million after 46 matches. IPL 3 had reached 137 million viewers after 48 games and 152.7 million in IPL 4.
