Plans more reader connect programs to make the brand Amar Ujala felt among the masses
May 17, 2012:
Hindi daily Amar Ujala celebrated Mother’s Day with its readers across its footprints in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Noida in a special way. The daily requested readers to write ‘Ek Paigam Maa ke Naam’, in which they were to write a poem/song for their mother.
The response was overwhelming with thousands of entries at each centre. The winners were honoured along with their mothers by Amar Ujala at every centre in an event. Kids were made to read out their writing in front of their mothers. The winner was clicked along with his/her proud mother and a photograph was presented in a photo frame as a memory to cherish. The best three entries of each centre were also published in the newspaper.
To take the initiative forward, Amar Ujala will be coming up with a plethora of reader connect programmes with an objective to make the brand felt among the masses. An activity has been lined up for Environment Day to launch a drive to save the environment. Then there will be a initiative launched on Father’s Day.
