Sameer Goswami to head Viacom 18's North America operations

He will be reporting to Gaurav Gandhi, Head - Distribution & International Business, Viacom18 and COO, Sun 18

Viacom 18 Media has announced the appointment of Sameer Goswami as Vice-President and Head of Business Operations, North America. In his new role, Goswami will be responsible for managing and expanding the company's broadcast operations across the North American continent. He will be reporting to Gaurav Gandhi, Head - Distribution & International Business, Viacom18 and COO, Sun 18.

Goswami joins Viacom18 from Vision Asia – Australia and New Zealand, where, as CEO, he played a key role in revitalising the company and making it the fourth largest DTH operator in the region.

Announcing his appointment, Gandhi said, “We are delighted to have Sameer join our team. I am confident that his valuable experience in media and broadcasting and his entrepreneurial mindset will be a great asset in growing the 'Aapka Colors' business in North America.”

Aapka Colors is the US version of Viacom18 Media's flagship brand in the entertainment space in India.

Goswami has wide experience across diverse international markets in advertising, FMCG marketing and entertainment industry. Previously, he has held key positions in companies like ConAgra Foods, Hungama.com, Leo Burnett and Lintas.
