Channels lose 50 GRPs to IPL; Colors and Zee TV slip below the 200-mark in Week 15 of TAM 2012

publive-imageThe Hindi general entertainment channels, which seemed to be unfazed in the first week of IPL 5, have finally surrendered in the second week by losing 50 GRPs to the tournament. Except Life OK, all GECs have registered decline in their GRPS in Week 15 (April 8 - April 14). While there is no change in the pecking order, Zee TV and Colors have slipped below the 200-mark.

Star Plus leads the genre despite losing a few GRPs this week. The channel has fetched 262 GRPs (last week 271).

Sony Entertainment Television has widened the gap with Zee TV which had leveled with Sony at 211 GRPs last week. This week Zee TV has lost more GRPs compared with Sony which has fetched 205 GRPs (last week 211).

Zee TV has slipped below 200-mark, recording 192 GRPs (last week 211).

Colors too has gone below the 200-mark to record 190 GRPs (last week 203).

SAB TV has lost just 3 points to record 122 GRPs this week (last week 125).

Life OK is the only channel to have added a few GRPs this week. The channel has recorded 85 GRPs (last week 80).

In the week when Imagine TV announced the shutdown of its operations, it recorded 57 GRPs (last week 64).

Sahara One is stable at 46 GRPs in the week 15 of TAM 2012 (last week 46).
