Zee Marathi ropes in Urmila Matondkar as Grand Master of Dance Maharashtra Dance

Zee Marathi has roped in undisputed dancing star and popular Rangila girl Urmila Matondkar as the Grand Master for its dance reality show ‘Dance Maharashtra Dance’. Accompanying her will be three masters who are expert choreographers of their – Swaroop Medara, Master of Bollywood and Western Dances; Soniya Parchure, Master of Indian Classical dance; and Devendra Shelar, Master of Folk dance. Amruta Khanvilkar will anchor the show.

 “We have selected the best dancing talent from the nooks and corners of Maharashtra. These are common people who are passionate about dance and actually forget that there is a world that exists when they perform. The show is shaping up beautifully and we are confident that it will see a fabulous innings with passionate aspirants,” added Sane.

Dance Maharashtra Dance is a dance reality show that extends beyond just the participants. It is a contest between three teams – Soniyache Kalakaar, Devendrache dumdaar and Swaroopche Shiledaar of respective dance masters Soniya Parchure, Devendra Shelar and Swaroop Medara. The aflatoon 18 (18 top participants) will compete with each other under the guidance of these three masters. The masters have entered the battle field armed with their respective teams in the quest to find the deserving winners.

The show will start its search for the ‘dancing superstar’ in various parts of Maharashtra like Nagpur, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Pune, Thane and Mumbai from the age group of 15-30. The auditions have also seen some very unique participants who have amplified the channel’s belief that a platform that salutes and explores the spirit of dance was required. Not only this, but the show also promises to create an independent and unique identity of this best talent  who will be crowned Maharashtra’s ultimate ‘Dancing Superstar’.
