publive-imageYouth channel Bindass is all set to introduce its brand new daily show, 'Video Wars', in association with Airtel, a reality television with a twist. Introduced for the first time on Indian television, Bindass introduces an entirely new format that provides contestants a big ticket to fame. Contestants will be able to maintain a video dairy of their best candid moments, so it's time to blog more and rest less with Video Wars, thus providing a sneak peek into the lives of five young, restless and 'bindass' individuals.

Expressing their thoughts on television, these whacky youngsters will video blog their way into television screens. The show will centre around the lives of these individuals with a day-to-day video blog shot by themselves of the 'happenings' in their lives. The five contestants will compete with each other to entertain viewers, and only if they succeed in holding viewer attention will they get to stay on the show. The cards are in viewers' hands – Jo tikega, wo jeetega!

Every week, the least popular contestant will be voted off. The voting will happen across social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. Viewers will get an opportunity to eliminate these individuals if their entertainment quotient lowers. The popularity of the contestant in the social media space and through the missed call mechanism will determine the fate of each contestant on a weekly basis. The more number of 'likes', chances are that the contestant gets to stay longer. Whoever manages to stay the longest will win the ultimate battle.

Nikhil Gandhi, Executive Director, Youth Channels - Media Networks, Disney UTV, said, “We are bringing user-generated content to life on television for the first time in India. The show empowers the youth to showcase their talent and an opportunity to become famous as the most popular video star. This is a daily show format which will be extended online for viewers to interact with their favourite characters as they battle through their daily lives. This is the first daily reality show in the youth space.”

Among the participants is Norden, a choreographer and event manager by profession who defines 'entertainment'. He is loud, naughty and open about his sexual identity. Damanjeet, who is currently a student, is a rebel without a cause. Known to get into fights, she is a bundle of energy and is known to speak her mind. Glen, a ladies' man, is an aspiring radio jockey, and the energetic, charming young man is here to please the ladies. Khushi, an outspoken starlet and a girl new to Mumbai, is all set to make a mark in the entertainment industry. Sahiba, a Latino dancer by profession, oozes oomph and spunk through her dance, and her goal is to teach the world the right Latin dance moves.

Bundled with zest, all these contestants are out there video blogging their way, till you choose who is here to stay. Premiering today, November 19, the show will be on air Monday to Thursday at 7 PM.
