October 25, 2012:

This month, MOVIES NOW keeps its viewers at the edge of their seat with visual treat of all-time favourite blockbuster Hollywood movies. MOVIES NOW brings the sexiest superhero who has the wit & charm alongwith a wealth of powers – ‘Iron Man’ in Supermovie on Saturday, October 27th at 9:00 pm.

Beneath the shiny armor and flashy technology lies Tony Stark, owner of Stark Industries, the brilliant inventor and eccentric playboy, struggling to balance his desires, addictions, and relationships with his duties as the Armored Avenger.

Based on the Marvel Comics character, Iron Man was the first series that was released in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film stars Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark, an industrialist and master engineer who builds a powered exoskeleton and becomes the technologically advanced superhero, Iron Man.

While captured and wounded in Afghanistan Tony Stark creates an armored suit which saves his life and leads him to freedom. Once back home, he secretly works on an updated armored suit but like all Super Heroes, Tony discovers his enemy to be his second in command at Stark Industries.  In true Iron Man style, Tony Stark destroys his enemies and continues his research in developing new machines.

With stunning and award winning special effects, Iron Man is a must watch film that demonstrates sheer genius. An amalgamation of CGI (Computer generated imagery), real costume design and some esthetically shot sequences, Iron Man’s suit was no less of a technical marvel in itself.

Iron Man was nominated for the Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound Editing at the 81st Academy Awards. In 2008, Iron Man was selected by the Empire magazine as one of The 500 Greatest Movies of All Time. Tony Stark was also selected as one of The 100 Greatest Movie Characters of All Time.

Supermovie Iron Man is powered by Cinthol in association with Colgate Total, Vespa, ICICI Bank, Godaddy.com, Myntra.com, Renault, Levi’s, Vodafone and Nivea.
