Fleishman-Hillard has appointed Riitu Chugh to the role of senior vice president and digital strategist. Chugh is based in New Delhi and is responsible for growing the agency's digital business across India.

A seasoned communications professional, Chugh has a strong background that includes both above-the-line advertising and digital communications. Her 18 years of experience span numerous industry sectors, such as automotive, consumer durables, food and lifestyle.

“We continue to build out our infrastructure of social media and integration experts across the region to answer mounting client opportunities and demand,” said Lynne Anne Davis, Fleishman-Hillard president for Asia Pacific. “Prompting, driving and inciting the right conversations take a skilled strategist, especially in a market as unique and important as India. Riitu has the ability to identify and mine that consumer insight 'sweet spot' into a compelling social media and digital campaign. We're fortunate to have her strategic thinking and deep digital knowledge on our team.”

Chugh previously worked with advertising companies such as Chaitra/Leo Burnett, Hakuhodo Percept and Interone Resonance-BBDO. In 2008, she joined Hungama Digital, where she helped turn social media into a viable revenue stream for the company. Chugh then moved to Digitas India, where she handled a large IT services and mobile handset brand.
