publive-imageIndia's No.1 Hindi GEC Star Plus had six shows that made it to the top 10 programmes list in the 1st week of TAM 2012. The top running fiction show on the charts for several weeks, Saathia, has topped the chart yet again delivering 6.6 TVR while Diya Aur Baati Hum has fetched a whopping 5.98 TVR to maintain the channel's overall GRPs at over 300.

Sony Entertainment Television has started the New Year with three shows among the top 10 programmes. Its crime show CID is at No. 3 with 4.97 TVR.

At No. 4 is Balika Vadhu from Colors which has fetched 4.76 TVR.

The fifth spot is held by another crime show on Sony, Crime Patrol, with 4.41 TVR this week.

Another fiction show on Star Plus, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has garnered 4.38 TVR to hold the 6th position among the 10 most watched shows on Hindi GECs.

Sony's dream run in the 10.30 PM slot continues with its fiction show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain which is at No. 7 with 3.86 TVR.

The fourth show from Star Plus in the top 10 list is its new reality show Survivor India. Launched on Saturday, January 6, 2012, the show has made a dream opening compared with other weekend reality shows in recent times. The show had replaced the second season of cookery based reality show Masterchef India which was delivering an average TVR of less than 2 points. Survivor India secured the 8th spot in the top 10 list.

Star Plus' other two shows -- Is Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai -- remained at No. 8 and No. 9 with 3.73 and 3.69 TVRs, respectively.
