The eight-part series premieres September 1, 2012

publive-imageBBC World News has commissioned a new eight-part series; The Ideas Exchange that will premiere on September 1, 2012. The Ideas Exchange is a 30 minute programme produced by Gogglebox Entertainment and sponsored by HSBC. It pairs up two global business leaders from around the world to discuss today's business landscape and their secrets of success.

Travelling to cities such as Beijing, Madrid, London, Addis Ababa, SãoPaulo and New York, and highlighting expertise in industries from pharmaceuticals to telecom, The Ideas Exchange will give BBC World News viewers a unique insight into the minds that shape global business.

The pairs teamed up to reveal their career highs and lows include;

  • JørgenVig Knudstorp, CEO of Lego, with Bethlehem Tilahun Alemu, founder and managing director of eco-sensitive shoe company SoleRebels;
  • Sir Martin Sorrell,leader of one of the world's largest marketing services and advertising groups WPP, with Sunil Mittal, founder of world-class businesses in telecom, financial services, retail, and foods.
  • Telecoms entrepreneur Martin Varsavsky with offshore manufacturing management company owner Carlos Moncayo;
  • Lifestyle brand innovator Dare Jennings with Ajay Piramal, leader of a global business conglomerate Piramal.
