BestMediaInfo Bureau | Delhi | July 13, 2012
After gaining encouraging success in Jharkhand, Prabhat Khabar has now launched its fortnightly tabloid Panchayatnama in Bihar on July 11, 2012. First launched in Jharkhand in February 2012, the tabloid is aimed at highlighting development and growth in rural areas. Panchayatnama also allows the growing media industry to connect with the vast rural population of Bihar who, in turn, get an opportunity to voice their problems and developmental aspirations.
This initiative kick-started with an inauguration function in Patna, presided over by Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister of Bihar.
With a cover price of Rs 10, the 40-page, all-colour tabloid will be available across the 38 districts (8,842 panchayats) of Bihar with approximately 25,000 copies on day one.
The tabloid will cover and feature panchayat oriented news, information and issues like empowerment to panchayats, monitoring of development work, information and review of government schemes for panchayats, incorporation of better panchayat people such as mukhiyas and panchayat members.
