As the clock goes ticking the competition to emerge best singer in this season of Indian Idol 6 only gets tougher. To make the audiences experience and witness their favorite contestants LIVE in action, Sony Entertainment Television revealed its Top 9 singing sensations for the first time ever at a musical concert in Pune.

Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune was an actionpacked, adrenalin charged arena, where the Top 9 contestants of Indian Idol 6 rocked the city in their first ever public LIVE stage performance.The nine sensational Indian Idol contestants –Ritika, Vipul, Amitabh, Poorvi, Amit, Sohini, Devendra, KaushikandCharitalong with jury member Saleem Merchant enthralled the crowd with their singing. They set the stage ablaze with their performances and were cheered on by the crowd.

Amidst all the excitement brewing within the crowd, the show opened with a superlative performance from KaushikDeshpande who sang 'Aadat se Majboor'. To the sheer delight of Pune fans, this Marathi mulga also surprised them by singing in Marathi. Following Kaushik's performance, Ritika the youngest contestant of this season on Indian Idol 6, sang 'Jagaa Le Jazbaa' followed by BihariBabu Amitabh's performance on 'Mere Bina'. He managed to enthrall the crowd with his performance and had everyone cheering him.  Rising to the occasion, Amritsar's Amit Kumar set the stage on fire with judgeSaleem Merchant's popular dance number 'AiveyAivey Loot Gaya'.

The shy Sohini Mishra, a trained classical singer from Orissa surprised everyone by singing 'DilMeraMuftKa'.  Devendra from Amritsar was the 'Chhotta Packet BadaDhamaka' and surprised everyone with his zestful performance on 'Gal MithiMithiBol', so much so that girls from the crowd ran on stage to dance with him. He was the true rock star for all his female fan following. Vipul from Amritsar performed on 'TuTohJaane Na' & took over the stage from Hussain and asked him to sing for the audience. Hussain was caught unawares but obliged to put his vocal chords to test. Charit stole the hearts of the girls with his good looks and splendid performance on 'Dekha Jo TujheYaar', followed by Poorvi singing on 'Hey UdiUdi'.

The crowd went berserk with the astounding performances of all the contestants and wanted the high voltage concert to continue forever. Jury member Saleem Merchant looked pleased as he watched the contestants take the crowd by storm. The evening full of song, dance, masti and magic ended with a dhamakedaar group performance by the Top 9 contestants on 'Paint It Red'. At the end of it all, Pune fans were a happy bunch of people as music was running through their veins.

Unlike past seasons where we had concerts after we got our top 5 contestants, this time we have concerts at the initial stages of the show. We are kick starting with Pune followed by concerts in Kolkata and Jaipur. These concerts will give the viewers a feel of the extraordinary talent we have on the show through live stage performances. It will get our contestants face to face with the fans and the viewers of the show.”
