Taproot wins creative duties for Airtel Data Services

The agency behind Airtel’s highly successful HFZ campaign won the account in a multi-agency pitch that included JWT and BBDO India

Following the highly successful brand campaign ‘Har Ek Friend Zaroori Hota Hai’, Airtel has handed the creative mandate for its campaign for Airtel Data Services to the creator of HFZ campaign – Taproot India. Highly-placed sources in the industry have confirmed the development to BestMediaInfo.com.

According to these sources, the telecom giant had recently concluded the pitch process. JWT and BBDO India were other agencies participating in the pitch. Taproot India will soon start work on the communication.

It is to be noted that JWT is the agency on record for Airtel while Taproot India was roped in for the refreshed brand campaign that had hit last year in August.

The campaign ‘Har Ek Friend Zaroori Hota Hai’ was the second most awarded campaign at Goafest 2012 winning 7 medals including 2 Gold, 4 Silver and 1 Bronze.
