publive-imageIndustry veteran Urmilesh has put in his papers at Rajya Sabha TV. Urmilesh had joined RSTV in 2010 as Executive Editor and was responsible for the launch of the channel. He used to also host a show called 'Media Manthan' for the channel.

Urmilesh confirmed the development to BestMediaInfo, saying, “My resignation has been accepted, and I stop being a part of RSTV with immediate effect. I had an exciting journey at RSTV. But it was time to move on.”

He did not disclose his next move but said, “I have been a part of this industry for the last 25 years. I will be back with some announcement after a month.”

About his stint with Rajya Sabha TV, he said, “At RSTV we tried to create a parliamentary channel on a par with international channels, if not better. We had segments like Parliamentary Affairs, News and Current Affairs, and Panel Discussions.”
