Satyamev Jayate scores heavily in TAM mid-week data
The question now is whether Aamir Khan hold on to audiences in subsequent episodes

Satyamev Jayate, the ambitious project of Star India and Aamir Khan, which also marks the television debut of the Bollywood superstar, appears to have struck the right chord with the audience. The success of the show lies in the fact that despite being a hard-hitting show, it has got the highest slot share with 47.6 per cent of the people watching the first episode while it helped the slot rating go up 7.25 times, according to mid-week data released by TAM for six metros (Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad).
Satyamev Jayate opened at 4.27 TVR across Star Plus, Star Pravah, DD National, Star Utsav, ETV, Vijay, Star Jalsha, Star World and Asianet among cable & satellite (C&S) and terrestrial audiences of 4+ years in the six metros. Among C&S audiences, the show has garnered 4.08 TVR across all the channels.
Overall, three metro data in Hindi-speaking markets (HSM) shows a TVR of 5.2 on the Star Network with core market of Delhi at 6.5 followed by Mumbai at 5.7 TVR (CS4+).
Star Plus managed to fetch a TVR of 3.79 for the 11 AM - 12.30 PM slot in three metros – Delhi, Mumbai & Kolkata (CS 4+ years).
The cumulative reach of the programme was 14 million in C&S homes while it also reached another 4 lakh terrestrial homes.
It is also important to note that the mid-week rating of Star Plus has gone up by 27 per cent – driven by Satyamev Jayate.
