HT Mini, launched in January 2012 by Hindustan Times Group, has announced a new business head. Maneeza Ahuja, who has been working on various marketing solutions initiatives, has been selected as Business Head to take forward HT Mini.

Keeping in mind the opportunity of leverage that HT Mini has with the hyper-local offering, HT Shopper, she would also be the Business Head for HT Shopper.

Ahuja will report to HT Media CEO Rajiv Verma, who would be facilitating and overseeing the expansion of this business.

The official communiqué on behalf of Verma said: “HT Mini, a product out of innovation effort, was successfully piloted a few months back. Besides application of innovation tools to it, much of the consumer research conducted extensively showed that this product had huge potential. It was targeted at Delhi Metro Rail users and this innovative newspaper has received unprecedented response from all age groups. It is our belief that HT Mini could be nurtured into a very bright business endeavour. What it needs is a leader with passion, perspective and commitment. Maneeza has not done a business role before, but with the organisation support, I am sure she will be a great example of how talent within can be leveraged for successful ventures.”

For the record, HT Mini is targeted at the 18 million people who travel daily by Delhi Metro.
