Viacom18 launches a Network ID to show its brand power

Reiterates the strength of its different ventures and creates awareness about the stature of Viacom18 – as a strong media brand

Five years ago, Viacom entered India in a joint venture with Network 18 group to form one of India’s biggest media conglomerates – Viacom 18. Today, Viacom 18 embarks on a new journey, as the network over the years has expanded wider - from being a 3 channel entity during its launch to holding 6 channels presently along with a Motion Pictures company, Given this spread, Viacom 18 introduces a Network ID that gives audiences a view of its bouquet of channels that include COLORS, MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, Sonic, Nick & Viacom18 Motion Pictures.

The Network ID will help Viacom 18 reiterate the strength of its different ventures that meet the entertainment needs of their audiences across geographies and demographics, thereby creating awareness about the stature of Viacom18 – as a strong media brand.

Under its umbrella, Viacom 18 has number of leading brands across television and films. It has a plethora of entertainment channels across genres – from comedy to family entertainment to music. This includes the vibrant youth brand - MTV, the fastest growing kids channel - Nick, India's only International Music & Lifestyle channel - Vh1, the Hindi General Entertainment channel – COLORS, India’s 24 x 7 English Comedy channel – Comedy Central, the recently launched action, adventure & animation channel for the new young adults – SONIC and Viacom18 Motion Pictures, a new-age motion picture brand that produces, acquires and distributes Hindi films

Starting 7 pm tonight The network ID will play out across the Viacom 18 television network and in cinema theatres before the start of every Viacom18 Motion Pictures release.
