publive-imageMTV is back with its flagship Youth Insights event – MTV's Youth Marketing Forum. This year the forum explores the power exuded by the youth and the strategies deployed by the marketing gurus across the world to harness this youth power. This year's prominent speakers at  'TATA DOCOMO presents MTV Power of One - Youth Marketing Forum 2012' include an esteemed panel of – Henri Holm from Rovio Entertainment Ltd – the makers of Angry Bird, renowned author – Chetan Bhagat, Simon Smith - Interbrand, Andy Ridley – co founder Earth Hour and Angela Barkan – Sony Music Entertainment  and more.

Aditya Swamy, EVP & Business Head at MTV will open the forum with a quick peek at what's making news in this millennial generation. Henri Holm, Sr. VP at Rovio Entertainment Ltd will present their side of the story of what drives the craze for Angry Birds and how to trigger millions of downloads and engage the younger generation. Co-founder of WWF Earth Hour, Andy Ridley, will discuss his own journey to create one of the most prominent platforms of youth power in action, the Earth Hour, which has loyalists across 130+ countries and has grown as a youth movement year after year. Simon Smith, Digital Director at Interbrand Europe, will conduct an interactive workshop on case studies of brands across the globe on how they have co-created with youth and leveraged the social media to translate campaigns into movements. Angela Barkan Sr. Director of Marketing and Publicity at Sony Music Entertainment (USA) will present her perspective on marketing and creating music for the younger audience in wake of the changing music consumption habits. Chetan Bhagat, the bestseller novelist, will present his experiences about youth and how a relevant cause, an issue, an initiative that touches their collective soul, has the potential to become a revolution. The speakers will share their insight and ideas on marketing to youth and leveraging their power to create revolutions.

The day will also include prominent brand bosses including brand and business heads from Tata Docomo, Nike, Viacom18 Motion Pictures and more who will discuss how brand need to engage in a dialogue with the audience in this world where one is the majority and the audience are the dictators. MTV Youth Marketing Forum 2012, promises to be bigger and better with discussions on topics that will throw light on how brands view the youth today and vice versa. The forum will be anchored by MTV's resident funny man Cyrus Broacha, who is going to add oodles of spice to the food for thought. Adding to the dose of laughter, will be Sorabh Pant, who with a stand up act will showcase the younger side of life.

In addition the day will see the release of the MTV's annual youth study. MTV recently concluded a comprehensive study with 5000+ youth across 30+ cities in India that probes into their need to stay connect 24X7 and desire to express. The youth today are ambitious, vocal and opinionated. These creative bunch of young folks are genuinely happy and friendly. They are connected to the world-wide youth population and draw their power from this big collective.
