GECs hold out against IPL in its first week; Zee TV levels with Sony

Star Plus continues to lead the genre; Imagine TV increases margin with Sahara One in Week 14 of TAM 2012

All eyes were on TAM data for Week 14 (April 1 - April 7) to see how the fifth season of IPL has affected Hindi GECs. The first week of IPL has not impacted the GECs in a bigger way as the genre has lost only 35 GRPs in total. Except Zee TV and Imagine TV, all other GECs have lost a few GRPs.

While Star Plus continues to lead the genre, Zee TV and Sony have fared at 211 GRPs pushing Colors at No. 4. Imagine TV has widened the gap with Sahara One.

Star Plus has stayed at the top despite losing a few GRPs again this week. The channel has recorded 271 GRPs (last week 289).

Sony Entertainment Television has fetched 211 GRPs (last week 217).

Zee TV has leveled the score with Sony at 211 GRPs (last week 200).

Colors remained almost stable this week by registering 203 GRPs (last week 205).

SAB TV has lost 15 points to record 125 GRPs this week (last week 140).

At No. 6, Life OK has recorded 80 GRPs (last week 82).

By adding 10 GRPs this week, Imagine TV has widened the gap with Sahara One. The channel has recorded 64 GRPs (last week 54).

Sahara One has lost 7 GRPs this week to record 46 GRPs (last week 53).
