ACK Media launches Tenzing Norgay comic app for iPad

ACK Media presents its latest title from the Amar Chitra Katha gallery of brave hearts, Tenzing Norgay, as an IPad App. Downloadable at $1.99 from the Apple App Store , the Amar Chitra Katha comic book on Tenzing Norgay can now reach millions of people, who have been enthralled by the story of Hillary and Tenzing and the first Everest Climb.

The Amar Chitra Katha gallery of Bravehearts presents men and women who are known for their immense perseverance and indomitable courage. “ Tenzing Norgay is an inspirational figure, not just to mountaineers, but to everyone who believes in the strength of the human spirit. Our comic, which is based on his life, took almost a year to complete because of the research involved for the writer and the artist. Amar Chitra Katha digital comic book on Tenzing Norgay is a 32 page, full colour, all new title that narrates the story of the adventurous Tenzing Norgay from Tibet. Tenzing Norgay was born to a very humble Tibetan couple while they were on a pilgrimage to a monastery in the Himalayas. Towering in the background was Chomolungma, or Everest, the tallest mountain in the world. The mountain was to cast a spell on the little child and give direction to his life. For as he grew up in its shadow, Tenzing often looked up and wondered if he would ever be able to climb to the top. His obsession with the mountain took him to Darjeeling and then through many adventures and expeditions, till he met the man with whom Everest could become a reality – Edmund Hillary. Amar Chitra Katha traces the story of one, who after having stood on the summit of Everest, could only feel humility and gratitude to the great mountain.

ACK Media's Tenzing Norgay App has been developed in house and presents a new reading experience using panel by panel view technology.  The Digital comic is also available on the Amazon Kindle store.
