New York Festivals International Advertising AwardsÂ will celebrate 55 years of honoring the Worldâ€™s Best Advertisingâ„¢ on May 2ndÂ - 3rdÂ at the 2012Â New York Show.Â This exciting 2-day festival will feature creative panel discussions, keynote speakers, seminars, networking events, and the 2012 Executive Jury Press Conference.Â The festival culminates with an awards presentation and gala on May 3rdÂ at the iconic New York Public LibraryÂ Stephen A. SchwarzmanÂ Building,Â located at Fifth Avenue and 42ndÂ Street.
The New York Public Library Stephen A. Schwarzman Building,Â designed in Beau-Arts style by architectsÂ CarrÃ¨re and Hastings,Â celebrated its 100thÂ birthday on May 23, 2011.Â The main branch was declared a national historic landmark in 1965, and recently underwent a three-year, $50 million restorationÂ Â The libraryâ€™s majestic steps are permanentlyÂ guarded by its two beloved Library LionsÂ â€“ Patience and Fortitude â€“ namedÂ by Mayor Fiorello La Guardia in the 1930â€™s, who chose the names because he felt the citizens of New York needed to possess these qualities in order to see themselves through the Great Depression.
The New York Festivals International Advertising Awards will play host to attendees from around the globe, including award winners, industry professionals, international press, and theÂ 2012 Executive and Grand Jury.
Ticket prices for the event are as follows: Full Access Pass to all events, including keynote speakers, panel sessions, screenings and award show - $295; Award Ceremony - $85.
New York Festivals International Advertising Awards receives entries from 70 countries, recognizing work in all media in the followingÂ competitions:Â Art/Technique + Technology, Avant-Garde, Collateral, Commercials, Design, Interactive, Hispanic USA Advertising, Integrated Mixed Media, Marketing Effectiveness, New Commercial Director of the Year, Outdoor/Out of Home, Print, Public Relations/Brand Communications, Public Service Announcements, and Student.
The NYF International Advertising Awards will extend the Call For Entry Deadline until February 17th, 2012.
