Lodestar conceptualizes Mahindra Navistar Transport Excellence Awards 2011

The agency helps create awards for the entire Transport eco- system

Mahindra Navistar Automotive Limited (MNAL) recently felicitated and awarded the heroes of the Indian transportation industry. At a glittering ceremony held in New Delhi, the first ever Mahindra Navistar Transport Excellence Awards 2011.

Lodestar UM was behind the genesis of the idea conceived together with the client. The idea was to cover segments that are not focused upon at all across the transport eco system. Awardees pan India were awarded in the diverse categories of Fleet Owners, Fleet Drivers, Dhabas, NGOs active in the sectors, Financiers which support the sector, Youth Transport Personality.

The awards were based on the  brand philosophy “OK  is no longer OK”the parameters being the Accepting No Limits', 'Alternative Thinking' and 'Driving Positive Change'.These awards recognized and rewarded Outperformance, Excellence, Innovation and Change Leadership in the Transport Ecosystem – values which embody the spirit of MNAL.

Zee news was the partner for these awards, the buildup featuring many diverse aspects of the transport eco system were played as segments on the channel over several weeks. They covered topics like a day in the life of a driver, comfort and safety aspects essential for tackling long drives, dhabha amenities, the highway network and more.

The final awards ceremony was attended by 700 people – award winners, nominees, eminent jury members, customers and dealers of MNAL, event partners.The awards were divided among regional and national winners. The national winners were handpicked by the Grand Jury, chaired by S. Sundareshan, Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises.

Prominent transporters from across India, dealers, and 38 winners from different walks of transport ecosystem witnessed the glorious ceremony dedicated to the Transport Industry. 'The event was graced by Praful Patel, Minister of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Govt. of India as the Chief Guest. In addition, S. Sundareshan, Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Navistar Automotives Ltd. and Vice-Chairman & Managing Director-Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Dr. Pawan Goenka – Director, Mahindra Navistar Automotives Ltd. and President, Automotives& Farm sector - Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Nalin Mehta Managing Director.

The awards have set new standards for Indian transport sector in recognizing and rewarding the efforts of its key constituents. In fact the high point was when a driver for his innovative achievements, won a Mahindra truck, this was a life changer for him.
