In May 2007, the Italian National Library in Rome made an unexpected discovery. Buried among their archives was an unknown manuscript written by the famed prophet Michel de Nostradame, popularly known as Nostradamus (1503-1566) regarding dire events that are set to happen this 2012. This manuscript was handed down to his son and later donated to Pope Urban VIII. It did not surface again until now, almost four hundred years after it was written. This January, History TV18 unravels the lost chapter of Nostradamus's predictions in a two hour exclusive show, "Nostradamus 2012" on January 28th, 2012 at 9pm.

Michel de Nostradame was a respected French physician whose predictions of the future have mystified scholars for over four hundred years! Nostradamus predicted major events in world history including the French Revolution, the JFK assassination, Napoleon Bonaparte, Hitler and of the third world war. Nostradamus made over a thousand predictions and experts have said that many of them have come true.

How will the earth end? Will a massive cosmic collision occur, a global environmental disaster, an Armageddon-like religious showdown, or a more subtle transformation? Many believe that December 21, 2012 will mark a major shift in the history of our planet but there is no cogent distinction between the sobering facts and hysterical fiction.

This special series will look at current daily events and the 2012 prophecies by Nostradamus and other prophets.
